I believe that we should focus our collective attention to attract new business and help existing businesses expand. We need to come along side prospective businesses and assist them through the process of startup in our community. I believe we need a top down review of the processes of obtaining business, building, and zoning licenses with the goal of simplification in mind.

To position ourselves for future growth, we must not burden our citizens during tough economic times with increases in property taxes.

We must exercise fiscal responsibility in city spending. All city boards should be held accountable to the Board of Mayor and Alderman. We all should feel an intense responsibility to our citizens and be accountable for their tax dollars.

Open and transparent communication leads to trust and honesty. After the election, I intend to continue hosting my radio show, "Perspectives," heard on www.thunder1320.com. I will always keep an open dialogue with each citizen of Tullahoma.

The Sandlin Family The decisions we make today affect our families throughout generations. The reason we work is simply to have a quality of life that is, with hard work, sustainable. With each policy we create, each resolution we pass, each ordinance we put in place, we must consider how it will affect our community now and in the future. These are challenging times, as evidenced in the closed storefronts of our city. As citizens there is much we can and should do. As Alderman, it will be my responsibility to make sure that local government works with citizens to make Tullahoma a better place to live and raise our families.
